Success for Botanic Garden at the Gift of the Year Awards

Portmeirion are celebrating more success for Botanic Garden. The 35th Anniversary collection achieved the prestigious highly commended award in the Collect It category at the Gift of the Year Awards 2007.
One of the most iconic and popular patterns in the world, Botanic Garden celebrates 35 years since its launch with the 35th Anniversary collection of a flared vase, luncheon plate and teacup & saucer – all featuring motifs taken from different periods since the pattern’s launch in 1972.
Designed by founder Susan Williams-Ellis, Botanic Garden is the first modern tableware pattern to ever use a mix and match philosophy, with different motifs appearing on different items all within one collection. From 1972 Botanic Garden set the trend for ‘lifestyle’ design and has since become a collector’s favourite worldwide as new shapes and motifs have ensured that it has remained as fresh and exciting today as it was in 1972.
The award is further testament to Botanic Garden’s status as a true design icon and worldwide collectable
