Portmeirion announce new Japanese distributor Portmeirion are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with Plaza Trading Co. Ltd for them to undertake the "exclusive" distribution of Portmeirion Potteries complete ranges in Japan.This agreement will commence from July 1st 2005. Portmeirion Japan KK, the wholly owned subsidiary of Portmeirion group plc, will cease trading at the end of June 2005. The company wishes Plaza Trading Co. Ltd well in this new and exciting venture for which they have the ideal mix of experience and knowledge in the market place. It is never easy to make such changes but we are now confident that with this new strategy, Plaza Tradings' expertise will look to take the Portmeirion brand forward in Japan once more. We would like to assure all our existing customers that there will be no interruption in supply caused by making this change.
